How to find Paris in Your everyday Life
Explore the sumptuous world of Papier d'Arménie
Can be used all year round to scent your home and create an atmosphere of well-being.
The history of Papier d'Arménie starts in the 19th century when, on a trip to Armenia, Auguste Ponsot noticed the local people scented and disinfected their homes by burning benzoin, a resin derived from the bark of trees. This traditional and ecologically-sound practice appealed and so he decided to import the product to France. Today, Papier d'Arménie's international reputation is assured thanks to its focus on quality ingredients and the engagement with renowned perfumer Francis Kurkdjian created the Original Papier d'Arménie - a scent based on the resinous notes of incense, myrrh and vanilla.
The Papier d'Arménie® is used by setting light to a single strip, detached from the booklet one at a time, folded concertina-style, and placed on a heat-proof surface. It can also be used without being lit. Simply place one in a cupboard or drawer and it will slowly release a soft, sweet fragrance.
